I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! The hubby and I had a great day with the kiddos, and I even wore my M6556 out to dinner with the hubby. I know I said I loathed the way it looked on me, and I still do lol; however, I went with it...

I think you really have to embrace the drape in order to appreciate this top; I don't think I have embraced it :)... The top is really simple, seriously I think it's only two pieces! I just couldn't embrace all that drape, I felt like I was in a Halloween costume. Ok, maybe that's a little dramatic, but seriously it has a serious drape. However, I loved it on everyone else that has made it :)!  Just not myself :(..

I love the print of the models pants, wish
I could get my hands on this fabric:)

Ok, moving on.... I have been sewing it up lately, yessss! I've almost completed S1371, in which I chose a floral print for these pants.. I just need to finish the waistband and do the (dreaded) hand- stitching for the hem... They are really cute, but adjustments were definitely needed in order to achieve the fitted look that was shown on the model:

Simplicity 1371 almost finished just needs to be hemmed

I thought I had a top that would compliment these pants, but alas I will need to make one. I was thinking about pairing it with Simplicity 1363:

I want to make view B: In a black Challis, I think..

Also I've just about finished M6957, it just needs hems; told y'all I've been sewing... It's always those pesky hems that slow me down, lol.. Again this pattern is really simple in that it could be finished in a few hours.. I made view C: Hopefully that review will be up sometime this week... Okay, let me get back to my machines before this post gets any longer :) Y'all have a wonderful rest of the week!

Be blessed and nothin' less and continue to stay fearlessly fierce!

The three pattern dress that took a month to finish:Simplicity 8383

Guys so my sewing mojo has been pretty much non- existent-hence the reason it has taken me over a month to finish the hem of this simple dress,lol..  This dress is Simplicity 8383 and I was so gun-ho  in making this dress, that I went out and purchased the pattern and paid full price, as I couldn't bare to wait the shipping out, then only to take a month to hem said dress that I just had to have :)..

This pattern is very easy. If you have any sewing experience, the instructions would not be of importance to you. The view that I made, view C, has only four pattern pieces:front, back, neck band, and the arm hole binding pattern pieces for the arm holes. I made the 16 and added four inches to the dress and I was still only able to do a tiny hem, so be mindful if you're only the taller end like myself. For the fabric, I used a rayon blend knit fabric that I purchased from a local vendor here in Hawaii some time ago, and I really adore the drape and movement of this fabric.

The jumpsuit that didn't quite make the Christmas party appearance! M7632

Hey guys! So, long time no blog, right? LOL! I haven't been doing much sewing lately. I was finishing up with my Bachelor's degree, in which I finished up in October, thank you, Jesus!  I'm gearing up for starting on my Master's soon.

Well, let's jump into what this blog is really about, which is M7632. I absolutely loved this pattern when McCall's first released this pattern, and finally got around to it. This pattern sews up fairly quickly, and with only four pattern pieces makes for a great pattern in this busy mom book. I was hoping to finish this jumpsuit in time for my friendship Christmas party with girls, but alas, that didn't happen, lol.

I wasn't too sure what size to make as I have been on a weight loss journey this year and have lost quite of bit of weight. Although I've managed to lose quite a bit of weight, it's still sometimes hard to see yourself, the new version of yourself. I ended up cutting a size too big in the bodice …

Review: M7543

Hey y'all! I'm back with a quick little review, which really I wasn't sure if I was going to make a blog post- due to how quick this project is, but here we are, lol. I also want to thank everyone again on the well wishes on winning the McCall's contest, that was such an amazing thing to happen to me!

It's no secret that off the shoulder is trending, or still trending really hard since last year and I'm lovin' it! This pattern is McCall's 7543, I believe this pattern was apart of the Spring collection, and of course, by now there are lovely versions everywhere of this awesome pattern.

I used an African print fabric that I had been hoarding for sometime now, and I'm glad to have finally gotten a chance to use some of this print up already.

I made the large,as that's the size that I had in my stash prior to dropping a few pounds ( almost 40 now, thank you Jesus!) I just took a deeper seam allowance, no harm, no foul, this pattern is very forgivin…
